V70 1998 Wagon Diesel parts to save for 850 GLT Wagon

As a newbie mechanic volvoman, i have a question : I'm gonna have my new car soon, a 850 Petrol car. But for that, I will have to leave my old V70 diesel one. My question is : excepted the diesel engine, which is totally different from the petrol 850's, can I save the battery and the starter of the V70 for the 850 ? The alternator ?

What may I also save a part ? I've seen a post talking about what to save on a 850, but in this case, I need help.
