P80 P2 late PCV banjo bolt tip

Remembered this from doing the 1999-on PCV

You put the banjo on the fitting, with the two copper washers, then you put a sacrificial orings on the bolt to hold it together. Once you get the banjo started, snip the oring and pull it off.

You can also snag the oring with a pick and pull it off until it breaks

I spent the same three hours figuring that out.

Neat trick.

I fudged it by using some random washers from a drawer with dabs of grease on them to seal after I'd lost the proper ones once too many and couldn't find them again..

You can’t pick up copper sealing rings without a copper magnet, either.
