2008 volvo xc70 oem radio stereo stopped working

oem just stopped working this morning. the first press of the power button does nothing, the second powers up and displays the vehicle icon and then powers down. the information system seems to function proprely. i have just lost the radio function. will try to check codes tonight. any thoughts?

had 2 codes from vida

icm-u1a1587
icm-u1a2400

both have to do with the MOST ring. not sure what that is, found it may have something to do with the amp under the passenger seat. i disconnected/reconnected power to the amp and voila, it works.

Man, I have the same exact issue. I tried reconnecting the amp but nothing. What is "vida" ?

Welcome to MVS, fuzzy. Vida is Volvo's software that runs on Windows. I'd buy a laptop with it already loaded and running, unless you're good with installing and configuring software. Here's our Vida forum: viewforum.php?f=40
