Moved the crankshaft pulley

Post by DRN2001 »

Hi Folks
I moved the crank pulley trying to remove it when I thought I had to do so when changing the timing belt: well, I worked out I didn’t have to so put it back on the mark and put the new belt on. All the marks line up and I’ve turned the engine over with a ratchet. Seems okay. Probably a dumb question but d could I have screwed up the timing even if the marks are okay?
Cheers!

Thank you, that’s a relief! I’ve always tried to buy cars that have timing chains - this was my first go at changing a belt!
