850 wont start

Post by Turbobrick69 »

So i just did a timing belt job on my 850, new cap rotor plug wires, turbo rebuild, with a "new" angled down pipe from LKQ junkyard, mind you the 02 sensor is just hangin out, no (sensor bung) the cams are off a bit (half a tooth) as i couldnt get the belt on there with them dead on, all new parts including the timing belt are from IPD, could it be the o2 sensor not getting a reading from the exhaust? Its getting fuel and spark, so i think, i know for a fact its getting spark

O2 sensor will not interfere with startup, it's not that.

Find out for sure about the fuel. Be even more sure the cams are only off half a tooth (which should be OK, I agree).

Is the engine spinning too easily, maybe no compression due to "lawn mower syndrome" ?
