1998 v70 glt fuel leak

Post by Jessdude » Thu Jun 06, 2019 6:32 am

Hi, all. This is my first time posting on here. I've been lurking for a long time. This site has helped me with a few of my Volvos over the last several years.
My 98 v70 glt developed an awesome gas smell yesterday. There was no dripping anywhere, but I eventually found a strong mist of fuel coming from the line at what I'm assuming is the pressure regulator. The problem is, I'm not really sure what part I need. I can't quite tell if it is a replaceable hose, or if it is part of the regulator body. It sticks out of the side like a nipple, and goes into a threaded connector into a hard line up to the engine. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks, Jesse.

The leak is in the nipple sticking out to tje left of part #23. Could it be #13?

The nipple is part of #23. If the nipple is cracked you need that whole housing. Probably NLA so it is a junkyard get but it's hard to get them apart without cracking the nipple ...

Hey I am second guessing myself now ... there is a nipple that is part of 23, but that nipple is short and back near the housing. So if the leak is out near the dotted line in the pic, that could be a different connector piece. You will still have to pry one (or two) off without breaking the nipple on #23, because I think it is NLA regardless. Either way you want to get on your back in the mud and look at some junkyard cars ...
