Introduction and A/C question

Greetings, I live in the Salt Lake City area and currently own 3 volvos. I work on my cars myself and teaching my sons to work on theirs. I have VIDA/Dice and its been quite helpful. Last fall i bought the moondust colored S70 GLT SE with a blown motor. The rest of the car has been maintained and garage kept most of its life. I sourced a 01 T5 motor with only 53K on it (still had the white ETM sticker) and completed my first engine swap. Im having a fuel trim issue causing a CEL but i will create another post on that. When i did the swap it was fall and i didnt refill the refrigerant. I went to fill it yesterday and the compressor wouldnt kick on. I pulled the relay and jumped pins 3 and 5. The compressor kicked on and i continued to add refrigerant but not cold air. I put the relay back in and the compressor engages on and off but still not blowing cold air. When compressor engages im at 25psi and 55psi when not engaged. VIDA is showing no errors.I have no blinking lights on the climate control buttons. I did swap in a new radio recently but doubt i messed up any wires related to climate control. Any ideas of where to look next ? And here's some pictures of the cars.

How much refrigerant have you added to the system? Also how long is the compressor running? Another member recently had a similar issue, it's all in my thread here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=89657

If the charge isn't within an ounce or two of the capacity, it won't blow cold.

I believe there is a pressure sensor by the firewall that can go bad - when it does the clutch shouldn't engage...

Thanks for attaching that thread and your advice, i put a full 20 oz of A/C pro and its starting to blow colder but not as it should be. I bought another 12 OZ and will try adding more today or tomorrow. The compressor is cycling on and off every 3 seconds. The S60 is acting up and throwing codes for the Turbo. Man all theses cars like to have issues at the same.

Sounds like the charge is a little too low. If you have a small scale (like a postage scale) measure out about 5 ounces from that 12 ounce can. Double check the refrigerant sticker on the fender though, I believe it's 25 or 26 ounces for these cars.

It feels like that sometimes, doesn't it? Haha that's how my R goes... always something going on.

I added more refrigerant and now its blowing polar cold !! Thanks for the advice to add more.
