1994 volvo 850 running hot

Volvo runs hot while in idle and in stop and go driving any help appreciated need to figure out what part needs replacing.

low speed overheating is related to the auxiliary fan not operating.

If your Air Conditioner is working a quick and dirty check is to make sure that the radiator fan comes on along with the air conditioner. If the air conditioner is not working then you should be able to hear the fan cycle on when the dash gauge starts to creep up. The relay is typically the culprit rather than the fan.
