Anti-Skid Service Required - 2008 S60
I have a 2008 S60 2.5 AWD with 128k that recently indicated a Anti-Skid Service Required message. How serious is this issue and what exactly is the problem? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello
Any work done on the car prior to have this message?
The first thing to check is to verify the center axle bolts at all 4 wheels since you have the AWD. These sit in the center of the wheel and can get loose. Replace with a new one from Volvo and torque correctly torque to 35 Nm (25ft-lb) then rotate another 90°
Then look at the front reluctor rings (google up) with a flash light - there may be a very small crack due to rust pushing from underneath. Not too expensive
Other possibilities would be a DEM problem (see google, this one is very expensive fix but needs diagnosed properly), clock spring (less probable) and perhaps other things

Thank you for the quick response. I replaced the front struts last summer, other than that just regular maintenance items, oil change etc. I'll check the other items you noted. Thanks again.
