Boost issues

Post by Redbox » Sat Jul 13, 2019 5:50 pm

So, for some time I've had occasional boost pressures above normal (15 +), then a week or so ago I went for a drive and had no boost at all, then it came back. I ordered a new TCV and installed. Car runs fine, nothing related to this showing in VIDA, but now I seem to max out at about 7 pounds on the boost gauge. Can't seem to find any obvious bad vacuum lines yet. Not sure what I should be looking for at this point. Any ideas? Stock V70R (04). Gas mileage seems to have dipped a bit too.

TCV on correctly? I accidentally swapped two ports once when I put a new one on. It's strange you don't have any codes... do you have a basic OBDII code reader to try?

Pretty sure I got it on there correctly. Swapped one hose at a time. Going to try VIDA again tomorrow, and I'll try my basic scanner too.

Check wastegate setting maybe? The rubber membrane can be damaged.

Can you check that wastegate with a vacuum pump?
