Volvo 850 GLT Wagon Temperature Question

Post by Jvkeup »

Hey all!
I recently replaced my radiator as well as performed a coolant system flush and was just curious if this is an ideal area for my temperature gauge to be at? This is just more of an OCD thing since I know the gauge is more a dummy instrument and isn’t the tell all be all!
Side info: coolant levels are ideal and the car has no CEL.

Thanks a ton for viewing!

These gauges have three readings

COLD
OK
OVERHEAT

you are OK

I actually mapped the ticks on my 1999 gauge one morning, now that's OCD.

Agreed. Looks like it's in the typical range for a normal reading. My '97 855 GLT reads in the middle (needle pointing to 3 o'clock) when warmed up.
1997 855 GLT (Light Pressure Turbo) still going strong. Previous: 1986 240 GL rusted out in '06, 1985 Saab 900T rusted out in '95, 1975 Saab 99 rusted out in '95, 1973 Saab 99 rusted out in '94
