My low beams have always been adjusted as high as they will go. I do not use the car much and recently I see that the low beams have dropped quite noticeably. Checked the adjuster and both are at their max height. Very weird. The beams used to be quite a bit higher. But somehow seem to have dropped. No front end damage etc.
Any ideas? Cannot see very far now!!!
Low beams, really low!!!

Are the bulbs placed correctly in there ? It is relatively easy not to seat them correctly which will cause them to sit at an angle. I'm assuming you have the glass cover headlights ? Also, when the bulbs get older they get dimmer www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbZqhIyS1as

If they both all of a sudden became low that shouldn't be it though.oragex wrote: ↑17 Jul 2019, 14:18 Are the bulbs placed correctly in there ? Thanks all for the replies. Bulbs are fine. It certainly seems it is the auto leveling system. I understand there are two sensors that signal the brain regarding the level. The motors work when engaging the high beams. So does this mean one or both sensors are bad? If so where are they located and how much work is it change them. I don't mind some DIY repairs.

It’s crazy how complicated these things get. I guess it’s better than having a person walk in front carrying a lantern.
