Trailer lighting wiring

Post by thienle »

Can someone show me how to wire up a trailer lighting. The fuse panel locate in the truck left side has a fuse said for trailer (20A) and three spare electrical plugs. Are there plug use for trailer lighting? Thank you very much.

I think you'll need a kit first?

That is a good kit. That car and almost all late model cars have electronics involved in the lighting that stops the old Scotchlok splice method from being used. The light module in the kit uses a power input to run trailer lights and the tap into the tail light wiring is a minuscule current signal to signal module to activate the out for the trailer light feed.
