I'm looking to replace the parking brake shoes in my '01 V70, and local sources list two different sizes, both which it says are compatible with my car:
- 0.98 x 6.3"
- 0.99 x 7.09"
From what I understand, the second number is the diameter of the parking brake drum. I measured mine as 7". Would either size work, or do I need to buy the one that's closer to the drum's diameter?

I just searched advanceautoparts for you and came up with 2 different sizes but the same fitment details: 2001 Volvo V70 (2.4L 2435CC L5 FI Turbo VIN: B5244T3)
I would remove the shoe and bring it to the store to match the size.

I would use FCP or Volvo web store to source these. Aftermarket suck.

Yup, that's what I already did (except at AutoZone.com), which is why I was bringing the issue to the forum for advice.
I tried this, but AutoZone didn't have either of them in stock (even though their website said one of them was).
I ended up ordering the 7.09" from O'Reilly based the size being closer to my measurement and the photo looking more similar to my actual part. We'll see how well they fit when I have a chance to install later this week.
