Can i replace the ignition cylinder and key of a 2004 s80 for the cylinder in the 2001 s80

Keys on Volvos one 1999-on are electronically married to the vin in software, so swaps won’t work.

Programming will be required

You can (if not yet) but probably some coding will be needed (I was lucky as second hand s80 was have turned off key code.
