850 engine air hoses - rear springs - door cylinder & ignition

Post by manovlov » Sat Aug 17, 2019 1:30 pm

Hy buddies,

I open again the subject I've closed myself few week ago because I can't manage to rebuild my wire correctly. I mean the air wire around the fuel wire.

The engine turns correctly but I have a hose that is not plugged to anything. So I need your help.As you can see on the photo, this with -yellow small hose isn't connected. When I put my finger in it, it is aspired, the turn round looses a bit energy then re starts as normal.

May someone who may have the same engine than me (B5could post here some pictures of the differents hoses , where they are connected, where they go.. I'm the fog on this issu.

Rear springs
The nut that hold the bottom of the springs turn around when I I try to unscrew then. Is there a another way than using a torch or angle wheel to get them off ?

Door key cylinder
The driver side (LHD) doesn't accept the hole key. Is it possible to switch it with the front passenger door cylinder, or switch it with the one in the trunk ? I was thinking about switch the all door cylinders + Ignition and remote receiver from my old V70 from 1998. The question is to know if the only way to get the ignition one from the V70 is to use a drill and a metal drill bit ?

Thanks to ones that will bring me theirs knowledges, pictures and or board.

Manov

The bolt on your spring anchor has splines on the head where it rests in the anchor. If the nut and bolt are spinning, they are stripped. I drilled at an angle into the bolt head and then lodged a something into the hole to keep the bolt from spinning. Spring anchor which comes with a new bolt. $13 U.S.

Thank you for your answer. But I don't have a bolt and nut system, I have a threaded rod and the top is just flat. I will try to block it by under the bolt, with a water clamp. I'm not really warm to use an angle wheel because the fuel tank is around...

Use a fan. A good breeze will keep any fumes away and you can grind safely as long as you keep the sparks in the right direction.

Drill baby drill! right thru the flat part of the bolt head....because when you get that nut off with heat you will not be able to install the nut on the bolt as I still believe the splines (very similar to the windshield wiper arms) are stripped and it will keep spinning in the socket.
