99' S70, seat skin question

Post by 850 LPT » Thu Sep 05, 2019 8:57 am

Hello All,

I am looking to freshen up the seats in my S70 and was wondering if the seat skins from a passenger seat would fit on a driver seat.
Do you guys know?

Also, are 99' and 00' seats the same?

Thanks, Dirk

They will, with the caveat being that the lumbar support knob comes out of different sides, so if you use a passenger skin for a driver seat, your're going to have a circular hole midway up the side bolster. You could cut some material and sew in a patch, or leave it be. I think Steve did one and left it as is.

You'll also have to cut a new hole for the lumbar support knob.

1999 and 2000 the same

Read entire thread, it’s a bit scattered but there are several important but points on this job.

Save your spare beige for the patch, it looks great when done.
