Brake problem

Post by jajak900900 »

XC90 2006 problem pulling the brakes to the right. The car has been replaced with front brake discs, pads, lower link arms, four-wheel alignment, rear brake pins. The car still pulls right sharply when I brake. What next? The brake test claims the brakes are equal. There are no defects in any joints. :?:

I am going to be addressing a similar issue, so I am curious to hear what you find out. My first move was to replace brake pads and do a bleed. My next move is the front lower control arms and ball joints and an alignment.

My guess is you are getting "flex" in your suspension. I have read where aftermarket parts can have bushings that are not necessarily up to snuff as braking on these vehicles seem to put a lot of stress on suspension components.

Bug has been found. Front arm frame bushing bolt hole is too big, arm can move if bolt is not too tight. Can a bushing be fitted with something to reduce the hole? Apparently, the arm bushing is unsuitable for this model. The stem does match the oem number.
The fault was not in the brakes.

Sounds like they reused the bolts. A new bolt from volvo will fix your issues. The collar size was updated. Also, these bolts are torque to yield so they shouldn't be reused.

What is that rubber bolt like? You can't put a thicker bolt on that frame. Bolt number 14 in picture.
