850 front fog light lens removal

Post by iiitsHannah »

Hello Volvo forums,
The front fog light lenses on my ‘97 850 estate are so dirty inside that the fog lights make zero difference to the driver’s view of the road in any conditions. I’ve been trying to work out how to get them off so I can clean them or order new ones, but can’t find anything indicating how to do it.
Anyone know how?
Thanks 😊

You need to make the adjustment bolt's surrounding through the hole and then to separate the projector from the casing.
It's tricky because it can easily snap...from age.
Then you can clean the lenses.

If they are dirty and allow the water to ingress, then the seal is pitched or cracked. The seal between the projector and the casing...not the seal which seals the lens. That seal is actually a special glue and it's not recommended to remove it.
