I recently installed an upper engine torque mount on my '06 V70, old one was really bad. This strut brace bar is new to me. Should I be able to turn the bar a little bit with one hand. Does this mean the left and right mounts are bad if I can. Thanks in advance, Glenn.

Glenn, the bar can be turned a bit with little force, that's perfectly normal. I also found that amount of play suspicious, so I replaced the left and right mounts, but the new ones were just the same

When I had a issue it was a metallic pop from behind the dash. My mechanic knew instantly what it was and tightened the bolts without replacing the mounts. He said those mounts rarely need replacement. My 04 S80 being a P2 car like yours, it's probably the same bar and mounts. June
