2010 XC60 control panel centre console (CCM) issue

Post by volvoxc602010 »

I recently purchased used 2010 XC60. This morning control panel centre console (CCM) stopped working. I can change radio stations from the wheel control buttons (as well as volume), but cannot control anything related to control panel centre console (CCM).

Before I take the car to the service, is there anything I can do (reset, fuse, cables, etc.)?

Thank you in advance.

Checked. Blown fuse. Unfortunately, as soon as I installed new fuse, it blew again.
Most probably there is a short on PCB. I will take my car to Volvo service tomorrow.

Thank you for instructions about fuse location.

Very interesting development. After I left the car at authorized Volvo service, they called me back, saying that the only thing that has been changed is the fuse. I have not picked up the car yet. I clearly remember that when center console module stopped working (blown fuse) outside temperature was about 10 degrees lower than previous days. I have not yet seen piece of electronics that will blow a fuse one day and work properly next day, but time will show. It could be wiring problem, not electronics.

Picked up the car from Volvo service. Everything works fine. The bill says that the fuse has been replaced. This is definitively the most expensive fuse replacement so far: $155.
