If you run into an issue removing them where the strut assembly won't come free because of the sway bar end links, apply a little heat after putting tension on them and then hit it with an impact wrench. Spun the nut right off it without issue.
In my case my struts are shot and I cannot replace them until next year, so I still replaced the spring seat. You may run out of spring compressor here - if you do, make sure to pull the shaft of the strut assembly back out of the strut or you'll never get the seat back on. I learned this in an embarrassing manner...
Also note - if you keep blowing out spring seats, your struts are likely bad.

Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

I remember painfully grinding that bolt off, I bet that technique would have worked. If you run into an issue removing them where the strut assembly won't come free because of the sway bar end links, apply a little heat after putting tension on them and then hit it with an impact wrench. Don’t even think of trying to counter hold the link with the small Torx counterhold, your bit will snap like a carrot
My pain was here
