1997 850 T-5 Charcol Canister Missing Hose

I've found that my carbon canister for the EVAP system has a missing hose. Judging by the dirt inside of the opening, it's been gone awhile.

Here's the top view of the canister from inside the driver's side front wheel well:

Here's the front view taken from under the car:

Here's a view of the another part of the EVAP system, but no obvious place where a hose could connect.

This is just from across the wheel well from the canister that's missing the hose.

One other piece of info is that when I fill the tank more than about 3/4 the smell of gas in the garage is pretty strong for a day or so. I would wager that this is the culprit.

I think the thing on your 3th picture is the Cruise Control vaccum pump. It has nothing to do with the canister, and nothing should be connected to it. I cant answer your question regarding the open port on the canister though.

Three hoses.
1. To Fuel tank via Roll-over valve.
2. To Intake manifold via Canister purge valve.
3. Vent to atmosphere via canister shut-off valve .
