Hi everyone,
I got a problem with my lovely 1999 V70 2.5.
About 10 to 15 seconds after turning the ignition on, all my electrical
windows, the sunroof and the electrical mirrow adjustment do not work any
more.
When I lock the car from outside and re-open it after about one minute,
all the parts named above work normal for about 10-15 seconds before they
quit again.
Can anyone please help me with some ideas, a wiring diagram or does
anyone have experienced such a problem before?
Best regards Heiko

The heavy current drawing windows and roof have circuit breakers in the fuse box. They are small silver rectangular boxes. See if they are clicking when the stuff stops working

As pointed out above, those all share an automatically resetting, thermally
tripped circuit breaker. ( Volvo calls it an Automatic Fuse. You'll need to remove
the four torx screws on the top of the fuse box cover near the windshield to remove
it and access the circuit breakers and relays in that particular fuse box.
You're looking for 11C37 ( Fuse box "C", position 37 - "Automatic Fuse").
When there's problem, it will cycle on and off as it heats up and cools down.
The highest point of failure in that group is the power window master switch.
Its very likely that you need a new master switch.

Thanks for your fast answer!
I think an overload is not the cause of the problem. All, the windows, the sunroof and the mirrors do not work after 10-15 seconds, without operating them at the same time.
But I´ll have a look at the thermally breaker.
I'm looking for a component, which has influence on all three functions...
Can you be so kind and send me the schematics for the sun roof and the mirrors too?
Many thank's
Heiko

Hi again,
I'm just back from the garage and... everything works fine!!!
The thermal breaker tripped short after I turned the key.
After I removed and reinstalled the breaker, it would not trip anymore. But I got a strong electrical smell from the back and found one of the aft window control switches stuck in the up position...
So the problem ist fixed
Thank you very much for your help!!!
best regards
Heiko
