p0571 p0504 bcm

Post by Archieherm » Thu Oct 24, 2019 11:10 pm

i, new to the forum, my s60 2004 battery was flat.
jump started car now have the below failures.

"Brake failure stop safely" on dash
trip computer displays --------
odometer stuck on 80356
ABS light on
brake light on

obd2 codes pulled

P0571cruise control/brake Switch A circuit = ECM-9400 = Brake pedal sensor
P0504 - brake switch a/b correlation

using the hidden menu on dash BCM REPORTS '' NOT CHECKING''
I don't think its the brake pedal sensor at this point.
I currently don't have access to a vida, only obd2 plus torque app.

BCM dry joint issue maybe not, as fault only occurred after flat battery and jump start.

The built in diagnostics fails to read the bcm states (BCM NOT CHECKING).

Following the xemodex bcm flow chart attached, tends to push me in the direction of power relays on the CEM.

bcm fuses ok, reading on the forum it can be BCM, any test I can do to confirm faulty bcm, any other test or advise
