01 V70 (S60): Ask me for wiring advice, walkthrough, details

Post by CIK7 »

I have now had my 98 V70 for almost a month and traded my 01 for it. No regrets. No need for me to be on this forum anymore but want to extend a wiring hand to anyone that needs one for tips, diagrams, advice, details, etc. If you need help, post on here or PM me. I'm on 1-2x every 1-2 days. I'll start posting wiring related pics and diagrams from all the wiring I dealt with on my 01. Ask away!
If you are converting from Ford's British Volvo (P2, P3) to Volvo's Volvo (P80 pre-99), (Welcome!) you can find a similar topic on the P80 forum. I invite you to come to the P80 family!

I am putting my daughters Volvo back together after an accident, and find two two-pin female connectors that don't seem to have a place to connect. One is just behind the driver's-side fender and the other is adjacent to it on the engine side. Both are short, so would connect to something in the vicinity of the left headlight. Any idea? This is a non-turbo and no fog lights.

My 2001 v70 xc has the same connectors, also not connected to anything. I believe at least one, possibly both, are for a fuel powered block heater for engine starting, if you're in a location cold enough to require one.

EDIT:
sorry, conflating two different things.
it's a fuel driven heater hookup for climate/comfort
unrelated to engine block heater in earlier models
