How can you say it runs great if there is no acceleration ... Something is not adding up with your terminology.

Replacing a throttle body without software works20% of the time. Read up on the ETM Forum, below

You probably need to visit Volvo and spend$150 for software. Don’t tell them the throttle body isn’t factory just ask for a software load

I had an issue like this on a 2002 2.4T. Tried everything including Vida. Good old fashioned detective work (and 3 months of investigation) lead to the problem. Repairs had been made to the wiring harness just short of the throttle body; crimp connectors instead of soldering. It was inside the harness and really hard to find. Problem persisted and I found a second set of "crimped" wiring repairs just short of the computer module; again buried in the harness. Incorrect wiring color was the clue that led to the solution. They sell new harnesses on e bay and other places.

Interesting...I replaced my etm with a used yellow label unit ... would old fuel possibly effect throttle response...I have know idea how long this car sat...I bought it with a blown head gasket and fixed it

Interesting...I replaced my etm with a used yellow label unit ..
There are two versions of yellow label ETB, one is identical to the white label , the other has a contact less sensor.

I would rule out the ETB as a cause before chasing other avenues

My Thoughts on a open waste gate would be no power or decreased efficiency, not no acceleration.
