BAZ15d parking fog light rear

Post by darylrobert » Thu Nov 07, 2019 8:03 pm

Got these BAZ15d red (canbus) LED globes for my rear parking/fog lights, they dont trigger any "bulb out" warning but run at a fraction of the current. I popped the base off and fitted a 120ohm resistor because the parkers were way too bright, very close to the brake lights, now they are perfectly similar to the incandescent just alittle redder in colour i measured the current and got 0.35a incandesant 0.05a for Led, there is a little heat after 10minutes on bulb and resistor but can still be touched.

The fog light LED is crazy bright, maybe twice as bright as a brake light, current was 1.06a Led 1.67incan. i would be careful using such bright leds for brake lights as you would surely blind drivers and probably get into trouble
