Any photos?
If there is a place for Allen or Torx key, then use it.
On the back side near the rubber boot, the Lemforder is a flat part that allows a thin 16-mm bicycle wrench to fit.
If you have air tool, then zip it in. Don't overkill it.

Soak them in the PB Blaster a week before you go after them
I can bring my cordless Bosch and zip them off - that’s easiest.
Back up is a Dremel with the FG reinforced cutoff, takes 1 minute to cut off nut

Re: How do I counterhold IPD Hd endlinks
The lower nut won't come off because it has a tiny T25 torx, the torx bit will shear well before the nut will start turning. As above, dremel/grinder and off it comes. The upper nut may work with the torx (If replacing only struts) - it has bigger torx T40 but it won't be easy - one small trick is to turn the nut with the ratchet juust enough to break it loose, like 15 deg - without tearing the boot, then attack with the wrench and torx. Clean well the visible stud treads - will help turn the nut easier once it starts. As above, PB or Liquid Wrench help a bunch but 1-2 weeks in advance. May attach a second wrench for leverage www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7f5l_d0Eq8
