radiator fan noise

Post by 5rivers »

The fan behind the radiator has been making some siren like noises and after switching fans with my parts car, the noise is still audible. There does not seem to be an effect of the noise to the radiator, temperature, etc., as the car has not overheated and the fan does come on. Usually the siren like noise is evident when I park the car. The first time I heard this noise, I looked around to me to see where the ambulance was, but there wasn't one to be seen!! Any thoughts as to what this could be? Appreciate your feedback!

Next issue to tackle: pcv system!!

We always forget about you in that Big Snowy Mountains up there. Sounds like the fans have given up their last bit of life.

I do have a 1998 parts car if you swing by me ever - have good fan too.

Does your parts stash happen to include a good right (passenger side) control arm?

It does but I wont have it off until DEC when I send the hulk to the crusher - with no engine, transmission, subframe, or front suspension
