What I could use from your car is that bumper bracket on the frame rail. I'll have the body shop look at mine and see if it can be bent back into place. If they can't fix mine, let me know how much you want to cut yours off the car and mail it to NH. The last photo you posted above is what I need. But let me ask the body shop first.

A high quality body shop gave me a repair quote of almost $7000. That was for an "insurance quality" job including a complete new quarter panel (both door tops), new frame rail, repainting used parts, etc. There are ways to lower the price, such as getting my own used parts in matching colors.

One large cost remains - They want to install a new frame rail. Mine is slightly crumpled in two places. They would first pull the body straight on their frame machine (I knew the trunk door wasn't sitting right), then replace the frame rail with a brand new one.

Now I have to calculate if I'm willing to fix the car or to scrap it and get a different V70 manual. This requires me to calculate costs for all the repair projects I've been delaying, and those I might need soon. Then I have to find a replacement V70 manual (or V70R??) to compare the price. Finally, I have to figure out how to sell off as much of my car as possible before giving it a dignified end.

You will have to build in a contingency of another 2-3k in case they find other stuff to deal with; it adds up,fast.

What about pulling it straight with a jack, grafting in new quarter panel, then getting it painted to match.

Maybe $1500 all in?

There is too much good car there to junk it

As an old friend used to say - "beat to fit and paint to match"
