Determining sound system in used cars

When shopping used S40's and S60's it is not clear what level of sound system is installed other than the 6 cd option. I am interested in the option of aux input and or iphone connectivity in the 2005 to 2008 years. I may be overlooking something obvious or may not have see anything other than the standard performance sound system so far. Any advice is helpful. TIA

If it has an aux input, it has a "mode" button. If it doesn't have an aux input, it has a "CD" button.

(At least on C30s sold in Europe)

I wondered the same thing when I got into my daughter's 2007 C70. After reading the manual I wasn't sure, then I realized that the screen gives the answer for a second or two when the stereo is turned on. Also the C70 manual says all Premium sound system equipment has 6 disc in dash changer. That might be different for a cheaper car like the S60 I don't know. The optional equipment beyond Premium sound is Sirius and a subwoofer. Sirius is selected by the top right mode button as well as the ox Jack screen as in my photos. Subwoofer is found with the sound button in the center of the tuning knob among bass and treble. June

Hi!
Where is that AUX imput? I just looked at a 2007 v50 and didn't see one.
Also - any suggestions for adding one to a v50 that might not have one?

I just looked again at the dealers photos and I think this v50 might not have one.
It's tough to see.
Do you know if it's standard? It looks like the single CD option.
I'm having a super hard time finding the stereo details.

I'm not sure, but it definitely is on the Premium sound option. I will go get the book out of the glove box and photograph the entire section on the stereo. I will post it on this thread shortly. June

Yes the AUX is listed as Optional. Here are photos of the 2007 C70 (P1 platform like the V50 and C30) owners manual and quick reference pamphlet regarding the sound system. June
