Lower front engine plate
Lower front engine plate
This is a 1991 Volvo 240 with 141,000 miles with an oil leak from the front engine area. I plan to replace the three front seals and the timing belt. In addition, I plan to take the cover off the metal plate that sits behind the crank pulley and replace that gasket just in case it is contributing to the leak. I understand that this is a delicate move because there is some interface with the pan gasket. Looking for advice from someone who has performed that delicate operation.
