This isn't a secret here, but this FB post today triggered me to post. This is about a Gen 2 S80...
Jason Black: many of the 06-15 S80 parts are interchangeable with the Taurus, Freelander, and a bunch of other cars. Basic things like an alternator can be hundreds of dollars cheaper if you cross reference part numbers.

Jason Black: FCP wanted something like $400 for my AC compressor when it got noisy. I got a new old stock one listed for an Aston Martin that was $75 on ebay, and was a direct replacement.
