Going to the junkyard for...

Post by Sveedy » Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:28 am

As the title suggests I am planing on hitting the yard this weekend to salvage, for future mods, what ever I can from a '93 850 N/A M/T with apx 220k miles that I found there.
Aside from the intake and throttle body is there anything else you might suggest I pilfer from it ? And no - I don't want to do the manual conversion. I've been driving a 5 spd for over 15 years and frankly having a car that I don't have to shift is kinda nice. Easy on my left knee when it's bothering me...

Thanks !

The cams from the year 93 NA are also coveted as an incremental upgrade for turbo cars. They are different from 94 1/2+ NA cams.
'95 854 T5-R, Motronic 4.4, 185k
'96 855 NA, 145k
'98 S70 NA, 220k (living out west)
'98 V70, T5 tune-injectors-turbo, LPT engine, 285k
'06 S60 R, 160k
gone: '96 NA 850 210k, '98 NA V70 182k

93 cams will drop in, no changes to the MAF. And for the record the 93 MAF will not work in your 96.

Appreciate you cracking that egg of knowledge on me.
And do you mean that the fuel pressure regulator is no longer available for my car ?

So question about the cams - Any concerns about them coming out of a 200k mile vehicle ?

You won't know until you put eyes on them.
