Ok, here is my latest issue after replacing all five ignition coils and replacing all five spark plugs. Whenever I first start up the car in the morning, she shakes quite a bit before reaching the middle of the engine warm up gauge.
This seems to be whether it is cold outside or warm like today (60 deg.).
In fact, I thought because it was so warm out today I could just start her up and go but at the first stop sign the car just died. I re-started it several times before I could get it to move forward. Once it reached the middle of the engine temp gauge it was fine. Any thoughts why this stalling out issue is happening? No check engine light.
Thanks.

Re: Stalling Out
Check the resistance of the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor against the engine coolant temperature.
15 kΩ at -20°C ( -4°F)
2.5 kΩ at 20°C (68°F) Typical room temperature.
0.3 kΩ at 80°C (176°F) This is 10 - 25°C below operating temperature*.
* OEM thermostat starts to open at 90°C (194°F), fully open at 105°C (221°F)
At 60°F the resistance should be ~2.0 - 2.5kΩ.

Re: Stalling Out
I just bumped the cold start rough running thread whose root cause was a really badly torched vacuum hose

Re: Stalling Out
RHP, would the ECT sensor really cause the engine to completely cut out like it did several times? I was dead on the road and had to put it in drive and then re-start at least four times.
Thanks abscate for the bumped thread. I will look for that now.

Re: Stalling Out
On a P2 follow the upper right radiator hose, the thick one, back towards the engine. It connects to a housing which contains the thermostat and the ECT sensor

Re: Stalling Out
Thank you abscate.
On your earlier post about a "torched vacuum hose/line". Did anyone ever state which specific vacuum hose went bad?

Re: Stalling Out
Faulty readings from the ECT can cause the ECM to miscalculate the air-fuel mix.Mr. Detail wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:29 am RHP, would the ECT sensor really cause the engine to completely cut out like it did several times?

Re: Stalling Out
Is there a special socket I will need to loosen the old ECT sensor as the wire is still attached?
Not sure yet of that hex size.
