Have had this for a long time now and would like to get another one. This unit is really heavy.
What do you have or what would you recommend?

Pick up a reputable brand lithium ion jumper pack. They're lighter, just as powerful, and easier to use. Yes; they really work.

Just make sure its a name brand. You might get lucky with some Chinese junk, or it might literally be a bomb.

Capacitor type. Used several times on commercial delivery trucks and my car. Most batteries have a little life left in them giving this thing a super burst of a jolt to fire up the vehicles. Should last twenty some years and no need to keep it charged or worry about it exploding in your trunk.

Oh, Alaska. I recommend also having the key in POS II before connecting the charger.
