06 XC90 Turning Radius Limit Stop?

Post by backyardbill »

My XC90 front suspension has been rebuilt in recent years: control arms, hubs, struct, tie rods, CV axels, roll bar bushings (poly), etc. Everything was not installed all at once, but over time. Anyway, the front steering seems to travel too far left and right. I believe the spring clock in the steering column stopped working, and the "Anti-Skid temporarily off" message is on constantly in the info display.

Could a "bump stop" be missing on the suspension that would limit the travel of the front wheel turning radius?

I ordered a used clock string assembly (Volvo Steering Angle Sensor 3131308), but, didn't pull the old one out yet.

Any clues would be appreciated

- The steering stop in fact sits inside the steering rack.
Photos are in the FRONT suspension DIY I wrote a few months ago.

- The "Anti-skid message". Most of the time, it is nothing, chasing this problem is frustrating.
After I have read all the posts about "Anti-skid message" I decided to live with the problem.
Zero issues.
