Which Copper Plugs
Which exact (PN# please) copper plugs are recommend for a turbo 1998 S70? I see everyone recommending OEM plugs or copper plugs, but I haven't see anyone call out a specific part number for the copper plugs.

Re: Which Copper Plugs
Every outlet uses different part numbers but I would go to anyone of our supporting vendors and use Their parts finder to source a set of either Volvo or Bosch single electrode spark plugs ( turbo) for your model and year
They will cost about $3 each from Bosch

This is a set of 5 OE Bosch FR7DPP (30637308) Spark Plugs, made in the same factory as Volvo 8692071

Re: Which Copper Plugs
Spark plug mfg's tend to have multiple plugs that are compatible with any one vehicle. And sometimes the best plugs for the vehicle are not what's recommended by the mfg.
I am looking for the PN for the copper plugs that are commonly recommended on these and other Volvo forums. I believe that Bosch is the preferred mfg of copper plugs for our cars.

Re: Which Copper Plugs
Thanks! I just ordered a set of the FR7DPP plugs. These also can be found with Bosch PN 7955.

Re: Which Copper Plugs
Do they need to be re-gapped?
I know that Volvo ones in a set of 5 are properly gapped.

Re: Which Copper Plugs
The FR7DPPs I bought were gapped correctly, as were three friends sets. The Volvo ones I bought were not (and had two broken plugs in the packet, so might be down to handling).

Re: Which Copper Plugs
Agreed, I think re gapping is a thing of the past. Unless the packaging is damaged and one might suspect bent prongs.

Re: Which Copper Plugs
I think they come at 0.75mm ().030" for Yemen) and people do report they run better at 0.70mm
On my turbo car, I gap new plugs at 0.70mm and run them 25k, then replace. I have found regapping needed at 15000 miles

Re: Which Copper Plugs
The three sets I can account for were gapped to 0.7mm, if we're talking about the FR7DPPs. Of course that is a tiny sample size.
