Seal Belt Extender v70 1998

Hi,

Anyone have any idea how to purchase or where to purchase a seal belt extender for my Volvo 1998 v70 front passenger seat?

I gave a ride to someone yesterday who happens to be a little overweight and the seat belt was not long enough to go around the person. I looked on the web and they have "seat belt extenders" that plug into the latch and have their own latch that results in about a 7 inch long extension so the seat belt only has to reach within 7 inches of the original latch in order to latch securely. There are longer ones too, but 7 inches should be long enough. I noticed there are different latch sizes and tongue shapes so i wasnt sure what exactly to look for.

Any ideas?

You could fab one out of an old rear seat belt by cutting it, using the tongue part, and then securing the webbing with a metal tang,

File this with used oil.

Hi,

I would try something like that if i had an old seat belt but all i have at the moment is what came with the car.
Too bad just a little longer and it would have fit, maybe 2 inches.
