V70 rear wiper washer nozzle

Post by arbop »

OK, it looks as if there used to be a short rubber hose through which the windshield washer fluid would run through, then hit the cover for the rear wiper arm nut etc., then spray onto the rear window. That hose has now disintegrated, meaning fluid on the ground, not the window. The dealer hasn't been able to come up with a part number for the hose, but is still looking. Is there an over-the-counter hose I could cut to length, and what length should I cut the hose to? I don't think the hose goes all the way into the hemispherical cup on the cover.

Thanks

There's a regular washer fluid hose inside the trunk lid. It connects to the inside of the wiper motor assembly. Then wiper arm axle is hollow with a brass tube inside which connects to the nozzle.

Where exactly is your leak?

On one of our cars I actually ripped the entire wiper arm off & then snipped the washer spigot off with a pair of dykes.

Super fun to squirt a bead of washer fluid on whomever chooses to tailgate my pokey self ;)

Haha. I've thought of doing that too but sometimes I need the window washing feature :-)
