Red triangle, with exlimation mark

2003, V70, have red triangle image with exlimation mark on dash board. ??? Any clues, suggestions?

It is the Warning lamp !.

Yellow light: Follow the instructions shown in the text window.
Red Light: Stop the car as soon as possible in a suitable location and read the message shown in the text window.

I bet the message window is no longer working ? If only the back light is bad, you can still read the text with a flashlight close up. Red triangle can be several things, it can be something like a bad door switch, or something more serious like alternator failure, low coolant, urgent service, etc. So you really need to get the DIM fixed (Ebay repair services) because one day it may give you an important message and you won't see it. I recommend not driving the car meanwhile. Have the battery disconnected while the DIM is out.
