The yellow wagon was only produced in 95 model year. So yes it would be a T5-R, not an R. Or if it is indeed a 96 then the paint is not original.

Worth what the buyer will pay! At 80k (assuming the odometer isn't broken, ad the OBD 1 mileage gives the same number) it may paradoxically need a lot of work due to sitting for so long, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for 8k or in a frenzied market up to a lot more.

We need a lot more information on the car to make a meaningful recommendation such as service history and what it's needs are. Also we need photos.
A beat up survivor will not bring much, but like Eric said a pristine example could go through the roof, especially if 2 people start fighting for it.

The cream yellow paint code for the 1995 R is 607

If its a 1996, its just a cool P80 so usual pricing applies.

Clip from Matt (shamelessly edited by me)

CREAM YELLOW 850 T-5R VOLVOS & PAINT CODE
This Yellow 850 T-5R is the second of the top of collectible Volvos, sought after only more by the rare Nautic Blue 1999 T5 stick shift wagon with heated third seat Cream yellow was only used in model year 1995 for the Volvo 850 line, and only on the T-5R variant. 364 sedans imported to the United States, and 49 wagons imported to the United States. No, those numbers are not missing a 0.

Indeed, the build date is 1995-07 so a 1996. Well. 1995 is what it is registered as
I have noticed them sell between 8-15k
But a wagon hasn’t sold in a while.
Guess not $30k, but it seems they should be worth more than $8

Build date is almost definitive but still ... What is the original paint code on the plate under the hood? If it is 607 then it is a true 95. Is it a VIN 58? Year model S or T? Or just post up the VIN and we (or you) can look it up e.g. http://new.volvocars.com/ownersdocs/199 ... n1995.html

There are fake cream yellow Volvo’s out there; apparently the perps out there know they are desirable.

VIN and 607 paint code verify
