Once before you said you could extract the bin from a P2 Renesas M32C via the OBD port but you never gave a clue on price.

I could not find any Renesas chips on the Orange 5 chip list.

Usually, we share this option for shops, but also sometimes, customers buy this option from us for own car. For read/write CEMs through OBD, you have to use regular dice, but also, need to get additional device from us. This device lets us to get data for get access to your CEM through dice.

Ah shoot! I stopped at "R" in the EEPROM section should of keep going to the MCU section.

US distributor: Orange-5 base set and software $385.00 + $15.00 shipping = $400.00 .
Do I really want to spend $400.00 just to get the CEM pin number? Might do it if I sure I could use the tools to recover the investment.

Mmmm, good question. Depends on what are you going to use it for? If you are going to use it just one time only for your own target, yes, it is not good idea to buy Orange, other case, if you are going to make money from offer some service for customers, sure it will help you to solve a lot problems. Same time, you can choose other way - ask some service to help you to solve your issue or task.
For exampe, we offer our service for regular customers and for auto repair shops. If it is shop, they use DiCE and also they buy special OBD device from us (not expensive), and use it for get online services from us. But, they have specific task always, like transferring data from original module to new or used module, or recovering of demaged data... or other. What task do you have?

No immediate task, looking ahead. I would like to have the CEM Pin so that I use Vdash to add options as I find them in the junkyard.

Found some Chinese Orange-5 base set and software on eBay. Price drops to as low as $180.

Wish I had learned a programing language other the Fortran 77 (Showing my age), which I never used after the required course. I been finding information on how to read and write a M32C through a RS232 serial port. Documentation and Source code examples are in the public domain.

So you can get the CEM Pin via the OBD port. What you charge for that hardware and service?

Hello Rick.
If you get PIN from your CEM, you get access to your CEM for anytime. In this case not need to get PIN each time you connect to CEM. Also, you have to remember about removal procedure of this kind of CEM, it is not very easy. If you are going to use Orange tool or some other similar tool for change your configuration, you have to do this hard removal procedure each time.

Our device, allow us to get PIN without removal of CEM, but, you can imagin: you bought our device from us, we extract your PIN once, and you never use device else. If it Ok for you, no problem. Also, you have option to send to us your CEM, we will extract PIN from your CEM and send back CEM to you (in this case you not need to spend money for some tool, you just need dice). After it we can change any options in your CEM online through your dice any time.

What option would you like to add to your car?
Are you going to add it one time or you want to add or change it constantly?
Basis on this info, I can offer you our options and prices.

I am trying to figure out the best way to get the bin and the pins so that P1, P2, owners can use services like Vdash (Czechia) and Elk Diagnostics (UK). ARD tuning in Hillsboro OR is the only Vdash/Elk associate in North America that is said to offer bench extraction. It is not clear if ARD Tuning is still active.

Sorry, but we do not share PINs or bin files, we use extracted PIN for our services only. It is our policy. Same time we can offer same service like a VDASH )), maybe more...
Also, if I understand correctly, ARD tuning in Hillsboro OR offer tuning of ECM? If so, not need pins for P2 platform in this case. For P3 yes, I agree...
