2010 XC60 tailgate won't go down with button

Hi, anyone have experience with this?

I just replaced the pump/module assembly with a used one to fix a tailgate that wouldn't stay up (hydraulic issue). Now it goes up, and stays up, but the down button is non-responsive.

I let it sit overnight, closed and opened a bunch of times, locked doors. Is there a reset procedure? Any ideas?
