04 XC70 Spark Plugs Torque?

Hi, I'm changing the spark plugs on my 04 XC70 2.5T.
Does anyone know the torque specs?

Hold ratchet extension with one hand. With the other hand put the finger tips on the end of the ratchet and pull with your fingers, not your arm muscles, until you feel the Crush Washer crush, stop.

The Crush Washer is right above the threads on the plug. Crush Washers are metal seals.

P/N272313-8 or equivalent
- Gap 0.028- 0.032 in. 0.7-0.8 mm
- Tightening torque 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm)
- Firing order 1-2-4-5-3

Engine cold - important both when removing and when installing new plugs. If I remember well, these have standard crush washers. First, I would screw in and out an old plug a few times, to make sure the threads are clean and it moves easily all the way down - may also use a little antiseize but only on the threads, not on the washer. As for tightening down, these normally require screwing in until the washer touches the bottom, then another 1/2 turn (in fact, I think to remember reading on the package about 3/4 turn). Personally I'm a bit scared to turn 3/4 so I leave it at 1/2 and I think it's enough. Because crushing that washer doesn't take force, that 1/2 turn will not feel hard to turn, rather light. Now, tightening down the same plug a second time it's different as the washer is already crushed - for that I would use a torque. But the first time it's just 1/2 turn to crush the washer. I recommend also getting a spare ignition coil inside the trunk - these can fail all of a sudden and it's better not to drive the car and replace it on the spot - will also need a 10mm wrench and the torx for the cover. I have a video showing how to find the bad coil
