Things to do in corona lockdown

Post by darrylrobert »

Changed the thermostat and temperature sensor with genuine Volvo parts. The previous owner used alot of none genuine parts on the car including the thermostat. The old thermostat had nothing stamped on it but looked in good condition and seemed to operated okay also, i did notice it was missing the little bypass valve and the bottom spring was weak compared to the Volvo one.

A very easy job, bolts were easy accessed not tight or seized up and the drain on the radiator made draining the coolant mess free.

apparantly you position the bypass valve toward the front of the car (highest point)
