turn signal not self cancelling fix

Another annoying item on my 19yr old xc70 was the turn signal not self cancelling on the right indicator. I removed the old indicator stalk and tested it in a spare steering module. The cancelling point had moved from 12 o'clock position to about 2 o'clock (see pic) , not sure if its wear as the little tab/tounge didnt look damaged or worn. Installed the spare stalk and fixed the problem now both left and right cancel around 12 o'clock.

No programming was needed all the fuctions of the stalk work. Its plug and play, hope this helps anyone with the same issue.

Funny. Should have also mentioned to use it well in advance of your intention and nor does it give you the right to merge into traffic just because you had it on!
