Help please, I am replacing the vacuum/pressure hoses on my 1998 v70xc as they are getting old and I have it apart for some other work. I have replaced the line going to the turbo pressure port next to the turbo inlet (red hose in the photo only attached on the turbo end)and when I apply pressure/vacuum it acts like there is a check valve it flows freely when pressure is applied to the line towards the turbo and barely flows when a vacuum is applied , is this normal??? Thanks.

So you're saying that the vacuum port on the turbo is acting as a one-way valve? I'm not sure that it's supposed to work that way, but I haven't exactly tried, either.
That red hose from the compressor housing that you're referring to is supposed to give the boost signal to the TCV, so it knows when to open.
