Hi everyone,
I am trying to rebuild the suspension on my 2004 Volvo V70R, and recently purchased a set of new front coil springs to replace a half-installed set of IPD lowering springs.
Unfortunately, I bought and installed the wrong ones - PN 9492228 when I should have purchased PN 30639016.
Does anybody know what the difference is between the two springs, or if there is a pressing need to obtain the correct part? Thanks.
Also, as a first post, thanks to everyone who's posted before - the information here has been incredibly valuable.

Give FCP a call as they carry both. The 9492228 fits earlier S80's and S60 AWD perhaps indicating a heavier duty coil? It could just mean where Volvo sourced the springs as both fit your V70 R.TheYoungSir wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 01:28 Hi everyone,

These are going to be the codes for replacement parts for your specific car. Have to say, only the main dealer has the specific part, all aftermarket brands offer a single 'generic' part that may not account for the original differences.

Thanks for the input!
I'm going to keep the wrong springs on the car for now, since it sounds like they're pretty similar.
